Pebble Pushers Scr8pFest 14
Coverage
Scr8pFest 14 coverage is always fun.
The vehicles that are on display at this show are always
tricked out customs that are a blast to see! The show was
held at the Concord Motor
Speedway on September 23-25, 2011. The turnout was pretty
decent considering the monsoon that came through on Friday and
Saturday. This was Pebble Pushers Car Club's 14 Annual car
show and the people who attended had a blast!
Friday mostly consisted of setting things up at the track.
Pebble Pushers team of members worked together to get
everything set up as quickly as possible and make sure everything was
good to go for the next day.
Saturday is the Main Event Day of this three day show. First
half of the day, people brought in their rides by means of a trailer or
dragging rockers up to the registration tent at the top of the track.
Afterwards they entered into the actual track where the show
is held to find their favorite spot to lay out their ride and get it
shining. The weather didn't hold off for long and the rain
began to fall for what seemed like hours!
Eventually the rain held off and the sun peaked out for the contestants
to re-shine their rides. Pebble Pushers began judging as
quickly as possible. This year a "Top-50" was chosen to
receive an award, as well as, the infamous Best-Of-Show Awards.
Although numbers were down somewhat due to the weather, the
rides were very nice this year! We enjoyed seeing all of the
tricked out minitrucks, fullsize trucks and the custom cars!
The Dragging Competition on Saturday night was killer. There were a few
close calls with the wall bordering the pit lane where the drag comp.
takes place, but the sparks were flyin' and the crowd was cheering!
Sunday held a few club games including tug-o-war, burnout
competition, and some crazy game that Travis M. came up with that
involved panty-hose, a big ball, and some crotches.
We look forward to seeing you next year and details for the 2012 show
will be posted as soon as possible! Thanks for coming out to
play!
